Paul Jabara was one of the most original talents to emerge from Casablanca Records in the late-'70s. Produced by Bob Esty, Keeping Time was Jabara's second set for the label. The singer-songwriter craftily melded pop and disco on tracks like "Take Good Care of My Baby/What's A Girl To Do" (a duet with label mate Pattie Brooks), "Pleasure Island," "Trapped In A Stairway," and his own version of the Oscar-winning "Last Dance" from Thank God It's Friday. Newly remastered, this re-issue features extensive liner notes including new interviews with Bob Esty and Jabara's longtime friend, Donna Summer.
