One of the most indelible voices of the disco era, the late Vicki Sue Robinson launched in 1976 with her RCA debut, Never Gonna Let You Go. The Warren Schatz-produced set contained Robinson's biggest pop hit, "Turn the Beat Around," which was nominated for a Grammy years before Gloria Estefan had her own hit with the song. The album showed that Robinson was more than a one-hit wonder with her powerhouse vocals on songs like the funky "Common Thief," the sterling ballad "Wonderland of Love," and effervescent pop-disco of the title track and "We Can Do Almost Anything."
